Description
Core Modules & Functionality
The software is structured into several modules, allowing practitioners to customize the features based on their needs:
1. Basic Module (Articulator)
-
Virtual Articulator: Automatically calculates setting values (HCI, Bennett angle, etc.) for physical and virtual articulators like exocad, SAM, Artex, and Protar.
-
Data Export: Exports movement data as XML or STL files directly into CAD/CAM systems, eliminating the need for manual mechanical facebows.
-
Real Movement: Transfers the patient’s actual movement paths to digital design software to ensure restorations don’t interfere with natural motion.
2. Functional Analysis & Diagnostics
-
3D Animation: Real-time visualization of a 3D jaw model based on ultrasound or optical tracking.
-
Electronic Position Analysis (EPA): Analyzes the position of the condyles (joint heads) to identify misalignments or pain vectors.
-
Neuromuscular Jaw Relation: Helps determine the “ideal” physiological position of the jaw for patients with TMJ disorders.
3. Advanced Design Modules (New in v3.0 & v4.0)
-
Splint Designer: An automated tool for creating therapeutic splints.
-
CTS (Comfort Therapy Splint): For minor muscle relaxation.
-
PTS (Positioning Therapy Splint): For complex repositioning of the lower jaw.
-
-
Attachment Designer: Allows for the creation of customized, 3D-printed attachments for sensors to ensure a perfect fit on the patient.
-
Bite Optimizer: Automatically adjusts for occlusal interferences within the software.
4. Digital Integration
-
Matching Tools: Combines jaw movement data with intraoral scans (IO), facial scans, and CBCT (3D X-ray) data for a “digital twin” of the patient.
-
Medit Integration: Direct interface with Medit scanners to import/export scan data seamlessly.
